Abu Faour leads crackdown on Litani polluters

Health Minister Wael Abu Faour Tuesday referred scores of city councils and internal businesses, including hospitals and restaurants, to prosecutors over allegations of contributing to wickedness of a Litani River that bisects Lebanon.

In western Bekaa, dual city councils and 11 dairy factories, farms and assorted businesses are listed as polluting a Litani River.

Last week, a ministerial cabinet motionless to postpone work during all protected and unlawful silt quarries nearby a Litani River, until a repairs they have caused is rectified.
