Germany’s Bayer offers $62 bn for Monsanto

German pharmaceuticals hulk Bayer Monday pronounced it had offering $62 billion for U.S. cultivation organisation Monsanto in a pierce that would emanate a world’s biggest retailer of seeds, pesticides and genetically-modified crops.

Bayer pronounced it had done an “all-cash offer” for a U.S. hulk during $122 per share or a sum of $62 billion (55 billion euros).

A vital manufacturer of rural seeds and herbicides, Monsanto employs about 20,000 workers and describes itself as one of a world’s heading biotechnology companies.

Bayer, that employs around 117,000 workers, incited in record increase and sales in 2015, notching adult a net distinction of 4.1 billion euros on sales of 46.3 billion euros.
