At a meeting in Prague, representatives of the Czech and German governments agreed to work together on a refugee project in Jordan. Planning for this is to begin immediately. Moreover, Vladimír Špidla, Chief Advisor to the Czech government, and Michael Roth, the German Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, signed a joint declaration stating that the countries will collaborate on refugee policies, migration and integration in the future. Challenges are to be met in trustful cooperation.
The meeting in Prague on 28 November 2016 was the third in the context of the Czech-German Dialogue on Migration begun in 2015. Conversations with representatives of civil society and a visit to an integration project were also part of the schedule.
