A new search of President Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, by Department of Justice authorities that lasted more than 12 hours Friday found six more documents marked classified, the president’s lawyer said in a statement Saturday evening.

The documents join a group of other classified government records previously discovered this month at Biden’s Wilmington residence, and in November at a private office that he maintained at a Washington, D.C., think tank after ending his tenure as vice president in the Obama administration in 2017.

Attorney General Merrick Garland earlier this month appointed a special counsel to investigate Biden’s retention of government records after he was vice president.

Former President Donald Trump is under criminal investigation by another special counsel for taking hundreds of classified records and other government documents from the White House when he left office.
