The Berlin U-Bahn is OK with we being weird

  • December 11, 2015

The latest advert by BVG has churned adult a charge opposite Europe – and it’s not tough to theory why.

In “Ist mir egal” (“I don’t care”), rapper Kazim Akboga – in uniform as a BVG central – gives passengers a low-down on correct practice when travelling with BVG.

“The whole definition of a video is to have fun,” BVG spokesperson Josefin Langer told The Local.

“We wish to tell everybody that it’s not critical how we look, where we come from, or what skin colour we have – we’re only here to take we from one place to another.”

It’s a summary that’s utterly critical as thousands of refugees arrive in Berlin, she added.

The lane seemed on YouTube on Friday 11th December, and BVG’s couple to a video perceived roughly 9,000 shares within a initial 5 hours of appearing on Facebook.

“It’s left by Europe!” pronounced Langer. “We’ve had calls from Finland, France, Austria…”

It turns out there are utterly a few things Akboga “doesn’t care” about.

Whether all of these conform with BVG’s central manners is another thing – though it’s flattering entertaining, possibly way.

So what accurately are we authorised to do on a BVG train, according to Akboga? Well…

1. Yawn during a conductor on a Monday morning

Ok, this isn’t weird. Actually, it’s flattering unavoidable.

Bonus points to anyone who can conflict a titillate to boredom when looking during this picture. We didn’t conduct it.

2. Wear a stand top

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

Oh come on. It competence be surprisingly amiable for Dec in Berlin… though it’s not that warm.

3. Play shrill music

The guys in a video are sombrero-clad and personification guitars – though we reckon you’d get divided with many genres. Even techno, probably.

4. Bring a dog in a shark costume

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

Because because not.

5. Carry your lounge on a train

What’s a Berliner to do when they pierce house? Pay for a dismissal company?!

Of march not. If a lounge fits on a tube, it’s travelling by tube.

6. Ride a horse

Because if there’s one thing some-more sparkling than cantering by grassy meadows, it’s removing a U2 to Pankow.

7. Sit on another guy’s lap

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

It does save seats, we guess.

8. Give a giveaway striptease

Little famous fact: a poles many passengers use to stay station are also a ideal height for a impertinent pole-dance. (Apparently)

9. Be a bearded woman

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

We have a unctuous feeling we’ve seen something like this before.

10. Have no tiny change

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

Do those things even exist?!

11. Not give a tip

He unequivocally doesn’t care.

12.  Cut onions

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

If zero else, it’s a good approach to make certain nobody wants to lay subsequent to you.

13. Grate cheese

Well, you’ve already finished a onions. You competence as well.

14. Bring a drudge and a jar of mustard

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

…nope. We honestly have no thought what this one’s about.

15. Play a drum

Naturally.

16. Have a large nose

Or as Akboga puts it, a “potato nose.”

We consider that’s flattering mean. The lady in a video doesn’t even have that big a nose.

17. Wear a rabbit costume

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

Cute alert.

18. Take selfies

Because if we didn’t take a selfie on a tube, did we even go on a tube?

19. Camoflage yourself opposite a seats

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

WHERE DID SHE GO?!

19. Do a splits

“Only we adore we only as we are.” Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

Of course, some of a video’s points should really be taken with a splash of salt – though BVG aren’t about to let that get in a approach of their fun.

“Some lines protest a terms of transportation? We don’t care,” a association commented on a Facebook post about a video.

“Of march we’re joking about many things in a video,” Langer told The Local.

“This is only a approach of saying: it’s not critical to us what we demeanour like or where we come from. It’s only critical that you’re a good chairman – and that we buy a ticket!”

Yep: even BVG draws a line during some things.

Basically, you’re not authorised to:

1. Not have a ticket

Image: BVG / YouTube screenshot

It’s all fun and games until someone dresses adult as a sheet appurtenance to censor from a conductor.

2. Not have any money on you

In conclusion: move your horse, your onions, your robot, your stand tip and your pug. Just don’t forget your wallet.

Happy travelling!

(Oh, and if a video doesn’t go viral, BVG doesn’t care.)
