Who is your favorite fashion model?

The term “supermodel” is synonymous with the ‘90s, an era shaped by fashion icons like Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Linda Evangelista.

A lot has happened since then. For example, Germany’s Heidi Klum is turning heads primarily as a TV producer and presenter now, in addition to her successful career as a model. In fact today, successful models such as Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid also moonlight as powerful influencers. Their Instagram posts reach millions of followers.

And the scene is becoming more international. Examples include Liu Wen from China, Joan Smalls from Puerto Rico, Adriana Lima from Brazil, Irina Shayk from Russia or the Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech Bior. Winnie Harlow, whose trademark is her unevenly pigmented skin caused by the skin condition vitiligo, transgender model Andreja Pejić, and Ellie Goldstein, a model with Down Syndrome, are all proof that today’s beauty standards are more diverse and multi-faceted.
