Apparently Johnny Depp’s Return For Fantastic Beasts 3 Isn’t Official Yet

That said, “a source close to Johnny Depp” told The Blast the actor has not been approached by the studio yet to exercise the option in his contract for Fantastic Beasts 3. The site said Depp does have a contract through the five-film franchise but, like the rest of the stars, his option for each movie is handled separately by Warner Bros.
