Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho Trailer Sends The Western Star On An Emotional Journey Across The Border

A Cry Macho movie has been in development since the mid-1970s, when N. Richard Nash first wrote the story as a screenplay, only to have 20th Century Fox reject it twice, leading Nash to turn it into a novel. In 1988, Clint Eastwood was attached to play Mike Milo, but he dropped out in favor of reprising Dirty Harry in The Dead Pool. Fast-forward to October 2020, Eastwood rejoined Cry Macho to both star in and direct, with principal photography occurring from November 1 to December 15 of that same year. Along with the aforementioned actors, Cry Macho’s cast includes Natalia Traven, Fernanda Urrejola and Horacio Garcia-Rojas, among others.
