That’s less than the $295M the original Ghostbusters made in 1984 off a reported $30 million budget, not even adjusting for inflation. Ghostbusters 2 made a little less at $215 million in 1989, but again that’s not adjusting for inflation so in today’s numbers that would’ve been a lot more. Assuming people today would’ve gone to see it, and the people today who are excited for Ghostbusters 3 may want to curb their enthusiasm until they hear the full cast details.
