Mary Poppins Returns’ Oscars Song Will Be Performed By An Unexpected Star

The Oscars has seen many controversies this year, including for the Best Original Song category. Initially, to shorten the ceremony, The Academy planned to only have two of the five nominated songs performed live — “Shallow” from A Star is Born, and “All the Stars” from Black Panther. That was met with plenty of backlash, and the Academy reversed the decision. Now all of the five nominees will be heard — those three, plus “I’ll Fight” from RBG, and “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
