Welcome among friends: an app creates assisting easier

Voluntary efforts on interest of refugees have continued 
unabated in 2016. Often, however, it takes a while for helpers and projects to find one another. The German Children and Youth Foundation (DKJS) and Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) have come adult with an app called Willkommen bei Freunden (Welcome among friends) that aims to change that: it links volunteers and interloper support projects with a few clicks. Helpers prove where and how they can help, and a app says that 
local organisations are seeking that kind of support, either denunciation teaching, sports courses or donations of clothing.
