Neighbours of a 25-year-old male in a eastern Berlin suburb of Hellersdorf called in officers to examine as he seemed to have an unconstrained supply of fireworks, military said.
Some of a “explosions from his fireworks were so clever that windows were vibrating,” military pronounced in a statement.
Police did not find a male when they descended on his apartment, though found that his attic was packaged with fireworks.
Investigators after found that he had apparently also rented a second attic space in a building.
In all, a male allegedly hoarded “around one tonne of authorised as good as bootleg pyrotechnics”, military said.
Police are now questioning if he disregarded manners on explosives.
