Left-wing nonconformist incited Holocaust-denier arrested after ‘seeking asylum’ in Hungary

Horst Mahler, 81, a co-founder of a 1970s far-left Red Army Faction apprehension organisation who after swung vigourously far-right, was incarcerated in a city of Sopron in Hungary nearby a Austrian border, military reported.

The detain comes shortly after Mahler pronounced he was seeking domestic haven in Hungary, according to a Mitteldeutsche Zeitung.

Mahler, 81, wrote in a post published online that he had requested haven from Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán due to “political persecution”.

He serve explained that a “persecution” had been stirred by a announcement of his created work entitled “The End of Wanderings – Thoughts on Gilad Atzmon and a Jewish people”. The work refers to British-Israeli jazz saxophonist Gilad Atzmon, who has been indicted of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.

Mahler was one of a strange members of a Red Army Faction – also famous as a Baader-Meinhof Group – that intent in bombings, assassinations, kidnappings, bank robberies, and shoot-outs for 3 decades.

He after done a thespian pitch to a far-right, joining Germany’s many radical extreme-right party, a NPD, between 2000 and 2003 before quitting since he found it “outdated”.

Mahler perceived dual point jail terms of 5 and 6 years in 2009 for encountering that Nazis had evenly slaughtered 6 million European Jews during a Second World War. Denying a Holocaust is a crime in Germany.
